GCSC First Year Fellows

The GCSC First Year Fellowship Program is for students interested in a multidisciplinary approach in their graduate training and research experience focused on how different global changes impact the dynamics and sustainability of natural ecosystems, human-built systems, and regional-to-global climate systems. These interdisciplinary research and training opportunities occur in a cohort-based approach. Applications for the GCSC First Year Fellows Program should be made to individual departments.

Who is eligible?

This opportunity is available to students in their first year of graduate study at the University of Utah who will be working with GCSC-affiliated faculty.

How much is the stipend?

The current stipend is up to $27,000, and includes funds to cover medical insurance. In addition, this stipend comes with a full tuition waiver.
