“Antarctica – fishes, adaptations and dealing with ice,” peter wilson, Visiting Distinguished Professor, University of South Florida; Associate Dean, University of Tasmania, Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies  | 4:00 pm | 210 ASB

This talk will look at the oceans around Antarctica, the fishes and how they survive, with a small foray into the dry valleys as well.  The wonderful physical chemistry of ice binding proteins is only surpassed by the overall fascination we have when looking at how animals deal with the cold and ice.
