Red Butte Creek Research Symposium

On December 5, 2018, the Global Change & Sustainability Center and the Center for Ecological Planning & Design convened an interdisciplinary research gathering and poster session focused on Red Butte Creek–from the headwaters, through the urban environment, to the Jordan River. We thank all who participated and contributed to the success of this event. A broad range of interests and approaches were represented: hydrology, wildlife, education, public engagement, and much more.

We aim to continue the momentum of the symposium to explore:

  • What research has been done?
  • Where are the knowledge gaps and future opportunities?
  • How can disciplinary studies inform future convergent research?
